An Advanced Animation piece, inspired by C.P. Cranch's Very Literal Interpretation of Emerson's 'Nature'. My second ever walk cycle, I chose to go for a more dynamic angle than the profile shot of my previous walk.
As can be seen in my roughs, I planned out all of the arcs and followthrough before bringing any of this piece into full rendering. I chose to pad out each of the contacts by a frame or two, lending more weight to each footfall and giving Mr. Eyeball more time to assert his personality. While not having to animate any arms certainly saved me some time, I had to account for how the character would compensate in terms of balance. The resulting animation oscillates wildly from extreme to extreme, complimented by the trails of the tailcoat and hat.
The piece can be found with sound at the link below. The music used is Le Satie Picadily, sourced from Gregor Quendel on Freesound.org.
P.S. this is the only piece (so far) to give me a migraine from working on it so long. Will update when this changes.
